Stampin’ Up! Incentive Trip – Thailand July 2017

Stampin’ Up! are spoiling us here in Phuket!  We are staying at the beautiful Angsana Beach Resort and it’s to die for.  We have the most gorgeous “loft” style, 2 story villa right on the lagoon.

The weather has been postcard picture perfect – blue skies and sunshine.

Keep an eye out for more photos of the special memories we are creating with these wonderful friends and colleagues and for the new product that is being released in the near future.

The new “Holiday Catalogue” aka Christmas (yay!) was revealed at our welcome gathering.  How exciting!  However, I’m not allowed to tell you about it yet, I know, I know, but you will all be thrilled with what’s coming – I promise!  I can’t even show you the cover, well, maybe just a sneak peak at the back cover – sorry!!!!

Bonus $9 Gift Vouchers Are Up For Grabs!

Well, here’s the 2nd special for July – Bonus Days are back – these were hugely popular last year and I’m thrilled they are back in 2017.

How do they work?  Spend $90 this month (from 1st-31st July) and receive a $9 Gift Voucher to spend in August – so basically that’s a 10% saving – there are no limits – so spend $180 and you’ll get 2 x $9 vouchers!

Stampin’ Up! will email YOU the voucher, not me, so make sure you hand on to that very important email as it will have the voucher code on it.

Any questions, let me know – happy shopping!

Happy Birthday Gorgeous!

This is a card that I cased from the 2017-18 Annual Catalogue – page 76.  The Annual Catalogues are a great source of inspiration and I’ll often start here looking for ideas for a class or just a card in general.

You’ll see I’ve added some additional Foil Frenzy DSP and a length of the beautiful Soft Sky Weave Ribbon.  I thought this added more texture and a bit more “wow”!

The colours are Soft Sky, Lemon Lime Twist & Tangerine Tango and I love how well they work together.

All the balloons are raised on dimensionals – the 4 back ones are raised using just one, but the 3 front ones are raised adding 2 dimensionals together to make the balloons higher and so they really pop!

You can really see the shine on the Foil Frenzy designer paper in this photo – it’s textured as well, so it’s lovely – even a small strips like these can add such a wow to any project.

I love to decorate the inside of my cards too as it adds that extra dazzle and helps make the cards be more professional, without detracting from that “handmade” feel.

Hope you like it!

Fresh Florals Class By Mail

Welcome to my regular “Class By Mail” that’s available to order now.

These kits provide you with all you need to make 10 cards – they will include a variety of card bases, framelit pieces, punched shapes, ribbons, embellishments and designer paper, depending on which kit you buy.  They will also include step-by-step instructions.  All you need is your own stamps, scissors and adhesives, all the other work is done for you!

Todays kit showcases the gorgeous “Fresh Florals” Designer Paper stack on page 95 of the 2017-18 Stampin’ Up! Annual Catalogue with all 5 of the brand new 2017-19 In-Colour palette.  I used the “Floral Phrases” stamp set on the envelope, as the large flower matches that on the Designer Paper and I thought the border stamp, just added that little bit of balance.  This is a great kit to have lovely cards on hand and you can add whatever greeting(s) you desire.

I love this fold too – it’s just one of those classics that never date.  The mounted flowers are actually cut from the designer paper – so clever!  You’ll get 2 of each card highlighting the 5 In-Colours.  See the below photo.

Just email me or phone me with your order.

Kits are $20 if collected from me or just $25 mailed anywhere in Australia.

Birthday Memories Suite

Welcome to the first of our team Blog Hops for this new Annual Catalogue year!  We are all so excited about the 233 pages of sheer deliciousness and can’t wait to share with you some of our favourites.

Firstly, thanks for popping over from Rebecca and her gorgeous creations.  My absolute hands down favourite in this new catalogue is the “Birthday Memories Suite” (pages 68/69) – the minute I saw this suite I literally fell in love and went all the way back to my childhood!  I’m a bit of a children’s book hoarder, (something not many people know about me), mainly Enid Blyton, Beatrice Potter and Winnie the Pooh, my collection has many of the early hard back editions in it and so this gorgeous suite just resonated with me.  You’ll often find me at a second hand market scouring those boxes on the floor, looking for a book I don’t have or one that I have in poor condition and looking to replace it!

Anyway, I’m waffling, sorry!  I guess the main thing that really called to me about this suite was how it all coordinates – the stamps and framelits we are used to, but the designer paper in this suite is a MUST – hence why it’s part of the bundle deal.

The fox stamp can be cut out using the matching framelit, but so can the same fox on the various pages of designer paper – the little girl works exactly the same, as well as the cake and the poodle and the chef – sheer genius.  The paper however, may take some courage when cutting into it – but I figure I can stash a whole hoard of it, so it won’t matter in the long run.

More of the Birthday Memories Designer Paper

How adorable are these animals – they are just so fairytale and fun!

I cut out an extra fox, bear and rabbit and then mounted them with dimensionals over the top of the originals. I didn’t use the framelits as it leaves a boarder around the image and I wanted it to be a really snug look, so fussy cut them all! I added a couple of presents too and a few rhinestone jewels.

The Happy Birthday Framelit – a must have in any crafters collection (item #143700 $35) comes like shown – so I just ran it through my bigshot twice and then cut the words apart to have them go longways across my page.

I also decided to make this cute frame for a friend who has a little boy called Fox – I love how it turned out with the ribbons attached to the sides.

Here’s the final photo of the shadow box display frame – it would make a gorgeous addition to any child’s (or this adult’s !!!) bedroom wall.

If you didn’t believe me when I said I LOVE this suite, then hopefully you might now!  I’ll be sharing more creations as they come to mind – I’ve got heaps of card ideas rattling around in my head, but I really wanted to share these with you right away – if you’re not a stamper, then this designer paper is for you – you could even add a birthday party photo along the grass line there – oh the possibilities are endless!

If you’d love this suite, then don’t hesitate to contact me or shop my online store – item #145294 $108 – I’ll get it delivered to your door free of charge and throw in some of the matching stitched edge ribbon for you too!

Thanks so much for stopping by – follow on now to see what the lovely Linda has in store for you.

Gold Tin Class

This week I held a class using the gorgeous Gold Tin’s from this years Sale-A-Bration. I managed to get a stash of these, knowing they would make great gifts and would also make a fun class or two.
I used the Large Letters Framelits for the word “CARDS” and Flourish Thinlits for the flowers. My theme was Melon Mambo, Basic Black and Whisper White – I teamed this with the Pop of Pink Designer Paper, which added a lovely element to the card dividers. There was also a Night of Navy, Whisper White & Silver option too.
The tin came with 9 x thick Whisper White dividers, however I trimmed them down to be 6″ each (15cm), for 2 reasons – 1. so the dividers popped in and out of the tim more easily and 2. so that the DSP strips worked out evenly when I cut the 12×12 paper down. The strips were 1″ x 6″ each (2.5cm x 15cm).
The tabs on the dividers are designed to be stamped on directly – however I chose to stamp them on Whisper White card stock in Melon Mambo ink and then mount them on Basic Black card stock. I used the Layering Oval Framelits to cut them out. I used dimensionals to mount them on each of the tabs.
I’m a little OCD (no kidding!!), so I placed all the tabs in alphabetical order so that each tab is in order and the divider follows the alphabet – check out the photo and you’ll see what I mean.
The stamp set is the lovely “Tin of Cards” stamp set – page 86 of the current 2016-17 Stampin’ Up! Annual Catalogue, which is sadly retired now, but you could easily use the Labeler Alphabet on page 180 of the new 2017-2018 Annual Catalogue (#141936) and make any words you like for your own tabs – you could even use this as a recipe box and label the tabs – Soup, Dessert, Mains etc – that would make a great gift idea for anyone who loves cooking or baking.

December Daily Album Cover

December is a great time to record the day-by-day events leading up to Christmas.  Stampin’ Up! have these great Project Life cards and embellishment kits to make this lovely memory keeping system easy.

Here’s my cover – I predominantly used the PL cards and actually cut one of them down to make the front panel – I added some ribbon and a few bells – I used the large letter framelits to create the word “Xmas” in Emerald Envy.  Tune in again to review the pages as they come together.
