Welcome to the first of our team Blog Hops for this new Annual Catalogue year! We are all so excited about the 233 pages of sheer deliciousness and can’t wait to share with you some of our favourites.
Firstly, thanks for popping over from Rebecca and her gorgeous creations. My absolute hands down favourite in this new catalogue is the “Birthday Memories Suite” (pages 68/69) – the minute I saw this suite I literally fell in love and went all the way back to my childhood! I’m a bit of a children’s book hoarder, (something not many people know about me), mainly Enid Blyton, Beatrice Potter and Winnie the Pooh, my collection has many of the early hard back editions in it and so this gorgeous suite just resonated with me. You’ll often find me at a second hand market scouring those boxes on the floor, looking for a book I don’t have or one that I have in poor condition and looking to replace it!
Anyway, I’m waffling, sorry! I guess the main thing that really called to me about this suite was how it all coordinates – the stamps and framelits we are used to, but the designer paper in this suite is a MUST – hence why it’s part of the bundle deal.
The fox stamp can be cut out using the matching framelit, but so can the same fox on the various pages of designer paper – the little girl works exactly the same, as well as the cake and the poodle and the chef – sheer genius. The paper however, may take some courage when cutting into it – but I figure I can stash a whole hoard of it, so it won’t matter in the long run.

How adorable are these animals – they are just so fairytale and fun!
I cut out an extra fox, bear and rabbit and then mounted them with dimensionals over the top of the originals. I didn’t use the framelits as it leaves a boarder around the image and I wanted it to be a really snug look, so fussy cut them all! I added a couple of presents too and a few rhinestone jewels.
The Happy Birthday Framelit – a must have in any crafters collection (item #143700 $35) comes like shown – so I just ran it through my bigshot twice and then cut the words apart to have them go longways across my page.
I also decided to make this cute frame for a friend who has a little boy called Fox – I love how it turned out with the ribbons attached to the sides.
Here’s the final photo of the shadow box display frame – it would make a gorgeous addition to any child’s (or this adult’s !!!) bedroom wall.
If you didn’t believe me when I said I LOVE this suite, then hopefully you might now! I’ll be sharing more creations as they come to mind – I’ve got heaps of card ideas rattling around in my head, but I really wanted to share these with you right away – if you’re not a stamper, then this designer paper is for you – you could even add a birthday party photo along the grass line there – oh the possibilities are endless!
If you’d love this suite, then don’t hesitate to contact me or shop my online store – item #145294 $108 – I’ll get it delivered to your door free of charge and throw in some of the matching stitched edge ribbon for you too!
